Listening to every heart

…a worthy dream
what words…

but, what of these words?

A nurturing mother comes into life
Not quite knowing she will welcome, then gladly
Suckle, future generations.

An engineer is born, as
Legos become his game of life.

Drifters are born, wafting
From position to job to position,
Finding themselves, even while fulfilling needs
Of those that require,
With dreams remaining in want.

Pilots seek,
Heavens…

Swimmers find depth….

Our dancers, sprung from energy,

The architect, sculpted from precision,

Archeologists dig themselves out from the past.

The dreamers, ah,
Well, they, thank God, they
Watch stars, still.

Musicians, oh so natural in song,
And painters…oh, they come knowing
Turpentine is their bloodline.

A worthy dream…who does not dream?
But these three words caught and were held in a
Will of wisp, singular blaze
Of insight…

And that is when

I thought of you,

The poet…

Who embraces
Such passion
In ink, blood-red,
All that would be dust,
If not scribed,
Then become this poet who prays, schemes, designs,
Comports, and seizes on to just this,

Their very own

Worthy dream.

Leave a memory behind you,

Leave life with
Insight
Fulfillment
Environment

Love
Intuition
Nurturing
Genealogy
Energy
Rhythm
Instincts, a
Natural
Glow

                        Think….

                                                     What makes you….

Then...leave behind a piece

Of you,

A worthy dream.

~*~

A poem for our new members...who are following a very worthy dream...Thank you, for allowing all of us, to be a part of your lives.

that lingering life
the worthy dream left behind
the essence of you

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Oh, poetess extraordinaire,
Thy poetry is oh, so fair.

Your pen works magic o'er the page,
With mots so fine ~ forever sage.

Karilea,

Wonderfully sculpted thought and poem and one that is so true!  I agree.  Amazing poem!
"How many Sunshine poems do I have stashed in my library now?" I wonder!  Thank you for this...

And along the way
perhaps we find
the words that
discover who we are.

Sissie....What a grand design it is, to know within...direction, path, the ever after of it all...and the writer can mark the path with pen and heart from back to start.

So many dreamers doing beauiful things.  Dreams inspire us to greatness.  We share ourselves, our hearts, our lives.  Beautiful, definately one of my favorites of yours.

Karilea,
How lovely. I think I'll chosse to ride the coat tails of the "newbies" and steel a few of these precious thoughts for myself.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

this is just what I needed today...
though my daughter sits beside me now I am still a bit lost and lonely and in need of a dream. This is a very touching poem and I would print it out but the printer int he library isn't working so I will just add it to my private library

Kansas is nice ...but I think I may change my mind when the snow comes LOL

I had a dream once

and again

now and again I mean
...and now

but a thousand times a dream
in times and places

just now I mean
and again, and now
and will again

a thousand times a dream
in times and places

I thought it came true once
thought it would again
once

and now

"In the beginning was the Word..."

It seems so fitting that it leaves essences of creativity in us and of us for posterity. Your poems take me deep into words, deeper into insight and thoughtfulness, and I'm glad for the essences of you left in each piece.  They are beautiful! This poem certainly blooms!

Enter your passion,
Make it mine
But keep it yours, and strong.
Remember the pain
And the ecstasy~
Convey them to me with your
Embrace.
