Next to the Moon

25 August 2006


Somewhere
on a distant star,
this light did shine
This place in her heart
right next to the moon

Just to know her heart was full of love
this beauty of destination found
Age old traditions, or was this
in the eyes of God, a prophet foretold

Her understanding that to redeem,
just to look into her eyes,
just to reach forth and know
Would it be that day together
never, never to depart

God created love, but did
He make it possible to forgive
The pain of separation,
a longing of togetherness
Just to understand that day,
the day love would be true
