I am contrary
Of this you are aware.

My heart was yours
and yours alone

When my heart
was free to keep
or to give...
It lay in your hands
to have and to hold

When my heart
was free to keep
or give...
It was captured by you

Content
to be your prisoner
and allowed itself
to be tamed

In your loving care
it soared to breathtaking heights.

But Fear killed Love
and Trust lays buried
beneath layers of Doubt

Dreading
a change in
our relationship
You began
working
sorceries and
enchantments

Blow out the candles
that surround my photo.

When this night
gives way to dawn
You shall behold
my face no longer.

Your binding spells
have forced me to flee.

The knots in your rope
have strangled our love.

I shared
your bridal dreams
but cannot abide
your bridle ways.

Remove
my love letters
from beneath the
crystal pyramid.
The sentiments
will not keep their
freshness.

In your efforts to
ensure certainty
You neglected
to remain mindful
of that which is
certain and constant...

I am contrary.

"Your binding spells
have forced me to flee"

maybe you're not contrary Uriah
just don't like being held down

I like it...

Uriah,
A fitting term I've yet to learn. Just rub it down with a little forgivness.
