Rewrite:

The Grout of Doubt

Asbestos dust flies my mind
But not enough to make me blind
Just enough to make it stick
And just enough to make me sick

Sinking deep into my dreams
Canceling my future schemes
Skimming off the sense of more
Closing down my futures door

A chaos sickness in delay
An illness made of repartee
A dark that overcomes the sun
With ne’er a path that one can run

I walk the crooked path of why
That overcomes me with a sigh
For this infection carries strife
That cuts the years and shortens life

It is an element of sprout
The viral virus of a doubt

Not as upbeat as usual, Sy.
Hope all is well with you

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

How sad the spiral of a viral
making claims upon our names

lists and loops and makes us droop
it isn't kind, would fool the mind

with its lies and growing size
creates confusion with illusion

It makes me pout;  I want to shout
Take that doubt and put it OUT!

Love and Light, Sy!
