Perfection, Not This Time

"If everyone knows that perfection is impossible,
why do some embrace it as a given."

Perhaps if I had done a better job of
apologizing, when she said I hurt her so.

Perhaps if I had said yes that time when I said no.

Perhaps if I had loved her a little more
and criticized her a little less.

Perhaps, it could be likely that this was just a
test, and effort doesn't equal success when going
through a test, failure always an option even when
you do your best.

Thanks for the nice comment Lady...
Recently on Dr. Laura, she made a comment something to this effect.  She said that if someone leaves you with no explanation, perhaps they were just using you, in a controlling type of way, and eventually grew tired of you, and went off to find someone else to control...It made sense to me...controlling and manipulating people aren't really into loving and caring...I know that from personal experience...and I was hoping that I was past the pain and into acceptance...James
