she loves to dance
he loves to show her off
sticks her on his finger
takes her dancing
they swoop
slide
shimmer dance
he kneels
lays her across his knee
arms drape the floor
helpless

lady dressed out
thin
white
pink stars shimmer
charcoal man
fresh shined feet
pinch creased legs
Panama ridin’ low
jaunty walk

lickety clickety
co’cola can boy
whispers
promises
I’m gonna get me a hat
and a lady like
that some day
a good step and don’ care too

he feeds her oysters
sliding sweet salty fingers past lips
teasing
smiling
she nips at his fingers
rowdy as a pup

charcoal man leaves her
feet propped on banquette
licking oyster salt
steps out to fresh air
a cigar
purple and pink skirts
soft laughter

at bayou
cloud scudding moon
lady dips her toes
shines smile at him
winsome
he lifts her
swings her over dangerous waters
   gonna make you ‘gator meat
she giggles
puts her on his knee
smoothes sharp water
on night cooling skin
looses pink stars
hot air tips them hard
kisses pouty bottom lip
night blooming jasmine
flaunts blowsy
on way to sea

if I fell in
would you save me
from the ‘gators

     what do you think darlin’

buries mouth in dark cool neck

think you can’t swim

I got to the last line, leaning in reading and just cracked up.

Thank you for the gift.

Lady, this is BEAUTIFUL, so soft, so very lovely!!  What beautiful flavors you drift our way!

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna
