Does it matter I question the God concept?
Whether he exists at all, or loves individually?
I put these thoughts out there for an answer,
yet he never seems to – does he not care?
Certain people claim to know him–
claim to be filled with an essence of divine love;
claim God answers their queries
whereas I am deaf to his voice;
blind to what he shows me;
seduced by the dark side,
in so many ways they mock my words,
calling my questioning blasphemy...

If one thinks at all, one must question!
It is how I see the world, hear it, feel it pulse
It is what I experience, how it makes me feel:
and yes I think God does exist;
thinks what I have to say is ‘Good’
because I question old beliefs that no longer serve;
designed to control and enslave the mind.
I walk a new path, see the world anew each day;
I know change is the only constant in life
and if what I write, or say is grave error,
God would be moved to tell me so.
    ... somehow...
I take his silence as approval.
Well, sounds better than to say
“He’s sulking!”

Grin.

Think of it this way...
To have this good a relationship with Him, as to know when he laughs, sulks and embraces us...is far more regenerating, and real, than the recounting of another man's dreams.

I especially like that your poetry reflects a man following his own, unique path.
I could use a good walk myself!

Yes, the questions, the questions - but it's good that you voice them.  I always enjoy your ponderings - thanks!  My answers are perhaps not your answers so perhaps we all have to find our own - our own truth and own code of conduct in this mixed up world of ours.

It is not for us to know how He is ...
it is for us to know that He is.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

My grandfather's friend asked if he learned there was no God, at death,  wouldn't he be sad for all he wasted on his belief.  Grandfather said even if God didn't exist, he'd be thankful his belief made him a better person with deeper appreciation and more compassion than he'd ever had without it.

Many a Christian began as a questioning Athiest or Agnostic.  Are you aware of the Apostle Paul?

There is the "you" and the Source of "you".

"you" and the Father are One.

You say "I Am"
What else can say "I Am" ?

There, you have it.

Are the waves seperate from the ocean?

Now...you can do away with thoughts of duality and know that which...IS
or...
You can continue to think yourself seperate from that which you are and pretend that the wave must first become...wetter   In order to become One with the ocean.

No matter
It doesn't change the fact.    Enjoy !

Wonderful write!   as always

People tend to create God in their own image because they can not contemplate infinite intelligence, spirt, life or love.   If we do not see it with the five physical senses,  we label it fiction and demand proof through very limited channels.

Sometimes, there is an event called a miracle and we begin to understand that faith holds more substance than we could originally perceive, like the bird that sings before the dawn, trusting that the light will come.

I guess, some of us just want proof that 2 plus 2 is four.  The only way is through demonstration of the principle and knowlege of it's components.  You put it to use as instructed and the equation works.  The principle is always the same.  It is we,  in our limited vision, who are the variables, and I think perhaps we don't even understand the components.

First, you must define God, and thus begin the relationship of a mutual relationship, wherein one defines the other.

the rest is chickens and eggs...

I have to tellya, that was one hell-uvva write! lol

~ and a

I feel that God made us with enquiring minds so it is only natural to question! I feel God has a sense of humour and is not arrogant in the least! I also believe that He appreciates our inner dialogues with Him ~ at least we are acknowleging the possibility that He exists! ~ which, I personally know He does.

God's Loving Light,
