I would hold you that you might cry.
I would whisper, that you might hear
the still winds that lightly touch a
face of beauty.

I would give a king’s ransom that
I might once know you to the deepest
depth of your sea.

I would stand at the water’s edge
that I might feel the wave that once
touched your feet.

I would carry your burden
that you might rest in peaceful
slumber, letting dreams dance
through your head....stirring the
eyes, wrinkling a nose, widening
a smile that entrances me.

I would,   all of this and more,
for you are a star high above as
the glow of our moon shines
before us and friendships
bond us together....
Always...

You express such wonderful qualities in your write, as it takes a special friend to know such.

A beautiful, tender, and touching write!  Makes me wonder what the world would be like if we all could do what we would.

Your poem is both picturesque and heart warming.

Enjoyed reading.

Yes..Always..
You just keep getting better Barry.
Do you hear the huge Canadian sighs?

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

Oh, how beautiful. It's almost as though our two poems belong together, Each is a response to the other.
You create beautiful images

It must be something in the air... contagious, I hope.    Strong and tender, Magnus, this truly makes me wistful.

Hi, I see your romantic soul is still at work. Nice to see you still writing.
I am just visiting, as my muse died.

Magnus,

I read this a while back and meant to comment on it!  You sure know how to sweep someone off her feet!  Enjoyed it as much the second reading as the first!
