Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

0 posted 2006-08-17 03:38 AM

I woke to dawn crashing
Splintering, cracking
And watched darkness flee
Smothered by the dream
It lingered then dissipated
Tears bathed me
As my tortured cries
Sang a muted melody
Again I was taken
Where I did not want to go.
To that place inside me
That numbing place
Filled with buried thoughts
Each headstone etched with memories of you
I turned my face to the window
Looked up at the sun
And I saw my future
You were not there.

Deep in the heart

Now that one has come to the realization, one can leave the cemetary of memories...
Well done!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

This is written so well.
I can put myself in those feelings you've just expressedand you put it perfectly
Gosh - I hate to say it, but I've been there, deep. Feeling that way makes me feel like  a child again. So lost and alone, crying out for what isn't there.
Thank you for sharing.
