Rabbit you trickster you try to out wit the fox
Fox told you about your tail once as long as his.
Fox  told rabbit he was going to trade the fishes
with indians for some turquoise
Rabbit inquired how to catch fishes
Fox told rabbit to put tail in water
Fox showed rabbit 3 fishes he caught
Fox left,  rabbit put his tail in icy water
Rabbit figures he can catch 5 fish by morning
rabbit wants to get all the turquoise
Sun rises and fox finds rabbit tail frozen in water
fox gives rabbit a big push, tail breaks off
Now we know why rabbit has no tail,
I wrote this for Marge Tindal after reading all the indian stories online as well as her work.

Marge; this was so much fun to read and write all these tales from the indians I just told them my way.  I will be writing more.

Earth Angel;  This was the first tale I read and it was about the rabbits lost tail.  It was so funny I had to share it with my friends here at pip

The Lady; I too am also pleased that you enjoyed it.
The Cherokee and other indians express themselves using nature and living creatures to tell stories about their culture.  Great Spirit=God

This is so cute!  And it has that authentic feel to it, too.

LOL LOL
Very good jody 5, I can see us all around the campfire as Native Americans Indians telling that story to the little kids. They believed to. I like it.
