Living With Disease

When once disease has claimed your world
A dozen blessings are unfurled
Unfortunate the ones whose eyes
Are swelled in  notions of demise

When limbs are frail and muscles weak
It’s strength of spirit that you seek
As life turns into trivial deeds
And battles waged for daily needs

Your pace is slow like an opening bloom
The geese are trumpeting your tune
What once was passed without a glance
Becomes the music of your dance

The day, the moment, time and space
Have lost their measure, found their place
Priorities you once held dear
Are victims of a shifting gear

You see the earth in different hues
You savor grass with morning dews
Your heart caresses every bloom
And everything the eyes consume

The fragile strings that held your life
Now hold the weight of daily strife
Your faith that once wore paper thin
Are chords that string your violin

A mind once fully doused in stress
Has redefined the term success
And there are reasons to rejoice
In echoes of your silent voice

Your hands assume a reverent pose
Your lips are still in numbed repose
But prayer transcends the silent phrase
And brings you peace to fill your days

to know face to face and on a first name basis, the treasure of this, is indeed a gift...collecting each moment in a music box of light...

Liz..."salute"

your poetry gifts wonders we all seem to take for granted....

In spite of all your challenges, you rise above them and share your wondrous view of the world. You show your readers the importance in valuing each precious flower ~ each precious hour.

Liz, you are a Lady extraordinaire!

Beautifully penned from your heart to ours'! Thank you for this blessing.

Love you,
Linda

LovelyLizzyLady~
There is (Thank God) such strength in you~

'What once was passed without a glance
Becomes the music of your dance

The day, the moment, time and space
Have lost their measure, found their place'

The charming lady who danced with me in the hotel parking lot in Orlando, has more pep to her step than many others that I know~

I SO love you~

You will always be life to me~

Thank you for this offering, one to help us
understand the humble part of earth that
so many have not had in their lives...

God Bless You Liz
