Back on that same road
That same path
Still leading to that same door.
Why do we continue to subject ourselves to this torture?
Every so often we decide to stray from our hiatus and torment our emotions.
Our relationship possesses all the love in the world, yet we still crave something more.
In our case love is just not enough, it always leads us
Back on that same road
That same path
Leading to that same door.
Why can’t we seem to get it right?
We pour our heart and soul into this arrangement,
Still we’re stuck in the exact position in which we started.
Initially passion consumes us but eventually our fears corrode our bond.
No matter how hard we try to move forward, we always fall
Back onto that same road
That same path
Still leading to that same door.
Why can’t we resist each other?
When in our prime we are a force to be reckoned with.
Together we complete and compliment each other.
When apart, our resentment launches us
Back onto that same road
That same path
Leading to that same door.
Why doesn’t love’s rules apply to us?
When is our rekindling going to become redundant?
Why do we always end up
Back on that same road to loneliness
That same path of tears
Leading to that same door, opening to heartache?
