Everafter prepared,
Heavenly places in waiting.
Faith's knocking and death
the not so simple requirement
to open the door.

This world’s welcome
wore thin years ago,
and though alive and kicking,
Hope's heart is sorely beating.
Life is what keeps me here
but homesick am I
for evermore.

a heavenly scout
I enjoyed!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Sweetie~

'Life is what keeps me here'

Though the heart often wishes to go beyond the here and now ... it cannot be rushed ... it simply cannot be rushed~

Life needs you to live it ... for hopefully many years to come~

When He is ready ... you will be too~

Love you dear lady~

thank you dear lady, I do know you are right, and *shrug* this was supposed to be a happy poem, the opposite of nevermore, but somehow it came out sad as well...
this life has taken much from me, and I look for the afterlife more than ever...sigh

She is ready, at 97.5 plus, to go...

what keeps me here?

she asks, looking into some other denseness...

"you've still a lesson to share..."

or,

"maybe your invite got lost in the mail..."

She chuckles, and sighs.

"I never thought I'd get this old."

James, thank you

Sunshine...lady, your writing skills and talent shine in every word you write...and yep, as long as there are words to share, I guess that's why He keeps me here...thank you lady
