Look for your heart in other guys.
Short our romance soon dispersed,
Your purpose to teach love diverse.
I do still love you, in case you doubt,
Though love has left our hearts burned out.
You dear to me, and still I hold,
Though truth withheld, and some we told.
But to ourselves we did lie,
Gentle person in my eyes

Gentle man, for reasons sent,
Your loving hands, and kindness meant,
Did warm my weary self’s outside,
And in my rest did heat provide.
Our lives so different, but we still moved,
To make them finer, love improved.
Our dreams we seeked across the lands,
But we’ll not find them hand in hand.
You see why now our joy denies,
Gentle person in my eyes?

Gentle man of my mind,
The feelings from your eyes I find.
Their mild shine my heart did choose,
They showed all that I meant to you.
Your good self not ever I,
Would mean to hurt, which maybe why,
I seem to you a touch reserved,
For no more pain do you deserve.
Need me no more, breathe in your sighs,
Gentle person in my eyes.

Soft voice that clothed your kind, true words,
Calm to all my problems heard,
The good in everything you found,
And seemed by optimism bound.
Carry on now, as you were,
Be him to whom so many refer,
Be the one for whom I fell,
Yourself you never had to sell.
A reason planned for our goodbyes,
But your heart I’ll look for in other guys.

Thanks Kimberly. If you only knew what I went through that caused me to write it. It was sad, but beautiful in a funny way.
