My life a clutter
Reflecting my heart
Where are you amidst all of the pain
Why are you hiding behind the shadows
Please come out
I need you more than anything
I don’t need material things
I don’t need money to make me happy
Your smile
Your love
Your sweet caresses
Your soft lullaby
And soft kisses
My life upside down
Right side up
Reflecting my mentality
I’m taking care of everyone else
But myself
Sometimes
Love seems impossible
I fall victim
To the negativity of the past
Who will see past this
My tears keep me company
My dreams comfort me
Teasing me of what
I do not have
Will I be able to make it through
Another night
Without you
will the heartache end?
Please do not end up a figment of my imagination
Like all the rest
Please prove me wrong tonight…

How can you love another if you don't love yourself?

How can you take care of someone else if you can't take care of yourself?

Ceinwyn, Your poem reminds me of the first part of my life and Interloper's Questions remind me of this half and the realization of a higher power who has protected me along the way. Great Poetry
