Erasing the Rainbow

The morning light is dim
a veil of mist and pewter sky
where cool leaves crisp and perfect
lay still in wait for wind of fate,
wait some crunch from out the door
that doesn’t hear what was before

Changed      changed

Penetrate the mist of time
and walk into the silent morning,
hushed somehow   where are the birds?
A footfall’s like a spoken word.

Looking for the sweet release
of knowing this covered canopy
only awaits the afternoon,
I’ll open mind and sense of heart

Now            now

Would the gate be closed to me
between this minute and the next,
how bide the glorious delay?

Stay     stay

Wipe the friendly perfect glass,
erase the rainbow that is fake
for what is real.

This is done to perfection. You've painted images that I can touch, a day I can feel.

Agree with the former,
you painted a day to be touched.
Wonderful to read you.

You do have a wonderfully bristled brush
that paints marvelously.... and I do like
that 49ish picatoooor of yours...or was
that 39ish?

"Penetrate the mist of time
and walk into the silent morning,"

~ Your penning perfectly illustrates what I experienced on my morning's walk

Yes, perfectly!

SweetMartieSis~
Ah ... such crisp thoughts of renewal~

Somehow ... (maybe because I have one)
I did see that rainbow decal on the sliding glass doors~

Love you sweet lady~

Yes, I know the sense
the feel
the time
the real
of all of this, Sissie...

It is easy to apply the word perfection to your works... but today, I can't think of anything else. *S*

This poem for this day was to me... perfection. *S*

"...for what is real."
...that isn't lost in passing.

Indeed, for what is real?

Such a beautiful expression....but be careful dear lady....because when you wipe away what seems unreal, you may be brushing away the only thing that is. I've done that before, a time or two....but I never wrote it in such a magic way.

those last few words say so much, as to what is fake and what is indeed real
