In the darkness of their minds
there is a place
And it is there that they can come
face to face
It is there that they are searching for something
Something that they can hold on
Searching for something
Something really golden
But it is something
Something that has been stolen
A crying shame a dying pain
The crushed petals of our youth
All they really came for was to find the
truth
Yet all we had to offer were
hearts
that were aloof
So come and wander by mistake
Into this mess that society makes
We all stop and stare
and society knows
But do we really care?
I guess it shows.
Oh I know we would
If we only could
And alas I cry
And she gives a sigh
And all that is left is oh why why why?
A crying shame a dying pain
The crushed petals of our youth
All they really came for was to find the
truth
Yet all we had to offer were hearts that were
aloof
look at them standing all alone
Helpless and deserted with no home
You see them sucking on their glue
Well what are they supposed to do?
You see them covered in filthy rags
With loads of money in your bags
You see them withering in this pain
You act all deaf and blind again
You see them and they are the ‘thief’
Yet it is you that has stolen their belief
And sentenced them to a life of grief
Unless we change there will be no relief
A crying shame a dying pain
The crushed petals of our youth
All they really came for was to find the truth
Yet all we had to offer were hearts that were aloof
So how can there be laughter and how can there be joy?
As their world is ever burning
And their souls eternally yearning
Will you be a light?
Will you do what is right?
To those clouded in the darkness of despair
Is this fair… do you care?
To end poverty would be wizardry
Isn’t it sad that their misery
Lies under the blanket of our happiness?
Until poverty dies there will be murder rape and lies
And so society sighs
And another mother cries
As her daughter dies
And I ask you why?
But no one knows
Tomorrow it’s still there
And the hatred it still grows…

if it is going to be it is up to me i choose my destiny
