One String Tied

13 August 2006

When every thing was on a limb
and life had one string tied
Just to know the cotton would not break
and that thread would remain connected

For was love a blindness
an unseen moment to heart
A world away from surety
yet close enough to sense victory

Those night time dreams
could they be reality
Or was hope another word of faith
as until His charity, does come the burden

A tight rope, a sling of arrows to heart
health a uncertainty, grace a delivery borne
For without tomorrow, the earth stood still
one long day to remember,
but wanting it to be true

“He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.”
Lamentations 3: 12-13 KJV

it is just one of those issues over long distance love, and not knowing if there was ever a way or a means to make that love a full time fixture, or if it would ever be so
