An appetite to dream again,
to read again, to glow
With excitement over questions
Of subjects one never cared to know!
In spite my respite from his genes,
The greens, they speak to me,
“If it’s life, you think you’ve missed,
Wake up and spread your leaves.
For wheat does not ask its grain, nor
Does corn slow itself to know
what constitutes its stock; yet,
instinctively it still grows."
One can almost hear its talk

Vast fields and meadows, streams and mountainsides
Inspired to a higher. Outside a self to climb.

Your wording, the flow, the entire picture painted is just incredible. This is lovely and thoughtful. Well done.

Well done.  I love it!

For wheat does not ask its grain, or
Does the corn slow itself to know
what content is inside of them.

I like the invitation to ponder this delivers... even though some things just are. *S* The greens speak well! *S*

iliana,

I need a little icon that hunches and wiggles its shoulders while saying, "Ah, shucks..."   Thanks, Jo.  You know whose genes to whom I'm referring.  Hard shoes to fill, huh?

luv,

Catrina,

You left out two of my faves, brussel spouts and asparagus.  Midnight munchies?  hm... have to think about that for a good bit!   Thanks for reading and humahing me.

ah, Ratleader,

It is your writing I admire.  You always find nature's analogies.
