Being What I Express

Around nine years ago
This writing began
As words tumbled out
With no specific plan

Coming out from inside
Giving emotions light
To build my confidence
I had decided to write

From the pen to paper
Then onto a screen
Emotions spilling forth
Feelings being seen

I emerged out my shell
Hoping words flow
I hesitated sometimes
What poems to show

I have not felt like a poet
Being what I express
I removed layer by layer
Into all the nakedness

As I bare heart and soul
With my words in text
After writing each poem
I do ponder what next

"As I bare heart and soul

~ and you do that so well! That is one of the reasons I enjoy your poetry! It's real!

"After writing each poem
I do ponder what next"

How well I know this! *S* Especially since my pen seems to be filled with rocket fuel only when I'm down... and I can't see subjecting everyone to THAT much wallowing. *S*

Excellent write. *S*
