1103 Olivia 21 September 2000 I want to be there when you are born for me that will be something to adorn I want to be there as you begin to walk as I await the moment you start to talk I want to be there to hear your first word and watch you grow each third I want to be there to hold you in my arms in comfort in protecting you from harms I want to wipe away your first tear and celebrate your birthday each year I want to hear your first cry and let you know I am near by I want to embrace you as you grow with the love I long to show I want to know you more than anything when into my world God does bring “And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4: 6 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares NOTE.I am still waiting in the wings, in hope she will exist some day |

phew a lovely poem of the love we have or should have for our children, with a very sobering closing, irionic that G-D ordaines marriage in the opening of the bible, Gennesis and condems divorce in the last book of the bible old testament. makes you think doesn't it. |

maybe that depends if the mother of my children was born in South Africa - lol then right now that could be possible, only who I am thinking of lives in Canada at present. So the objective is to meet in person if possible first. a poet who cares |
