All For One

It isnít much to ask
while lying here, my breath
forgotten in the center of the dark;
a day, perhaps, an hour Ė
a moment, seconds just to see you
in some special time, or failing that,
some ordinary scene of any day.
I have so many now you know,
the years and years of heartbeats
laid in front of me, long stacks of them,
a range of lonely beating, and I would
trade all, all, for any one of yours,
to bring you for that instant
in an ordinary night or morning,
all my heart for any beat of you;
this is the bargain that I offer nightly,
lying in the center of the dark:
One for all, all for one.

all my heart for any beat of you;
this is the bargain that I offer nightly,
lying in the center of the dark:
One for all, all for one.

A scripture comes immediately to mind... "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

You have written this great a love so beautifully... what an incredible heart you have!!

Only a selfless, generous spirit could have written such giving and loving words.

You have a beautiful heart, James.

Loving Light,
Linda
