Acceptance

Acceptance is my wine of choice
The clamor of my inner voice
It plays me with a touch of thrill
That lubricates my living will

Offers me a flowers garden
Sentence stay, an act of pardon
Cadence to my fantasy
Setaceous for, what is to be

A heady wine that placates prime
A soothing for the wrath of time
Like music of a fifers play
A dancer’s step to dance the day

It is an aphrodisiac
Perhaps a monkey on my back
Each day I open up the door
To pour myself a little more

I can’t deny my egos I
Without my wine I’d surely die

Morning dear Sy!
Yes..we have to accept what each day brings..
and maybe a wee sip of wine.
Love your pearls of wisdom this morn.
~Smiles & Hugs, Nancy~

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

Life's sweet wine certainly makes life's ails and travails far more palatable ~ and much easier to swallow.

I raise a glass of "spirits" to yours! Clink, clink!

Lovely write, my sweet sonneteering friend!

Beautiful Seymour, as always. But, when it comes to acceptance, it seems like I have a little bit of trouble with that. Although, if I had a bottle of wine, I just might accept anything. LOL!

Your poem makes it a bit more attractive to me -- this acceptance thing.

Thank you.

Sy,
I'd tip one to you anytime! Yes sir I like your style.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

We should all drink from your cup, dear friend... *S*

I enjoyed this very much... the title caught my attention... for though I was born many years ago, my life began when I found just that... acceptance. *S*

Even though some might not admit it,
I think we all want that feeling.

Good poem, my friend.
