Been told I gotta get out of this funk.
So here I sit to write out some junk.
Need some change but of it I seem afraid,
for the last eight years, my debt is paid.
Teaching teens and politics to much,
the bosses and parents make hearts go crunch
Mainly mine with nothing left now
time to start over just don't quite know how
nervous excited scared all at once
principal makes this teacher feel like a dunce
his loss will be someone else's gain
and my heart will not experience anymore pain
now where is the opportunity where is the good junk
just want I need to lift me out of the funk.

i assumed this would be in the same sort of mood as Daft Punk's song Da Funk. I was wrong. you're a teacher?

Don't even know who Daft Pink is!     Yes for the last 8 years I have been in education.  The last 4 I have had my own classroom.  I'm giving it up this year, of course I was helped into this decision.  BUT have a new temp job to start soon.  I love the kids but apparently am not tough skinned enough for the rest of the BS
