the picture upon the page
Each day, each year
another brush stoke to paint

Water and oil,
acrylic in the colour red
Each moment to think,
as the pigment upon
canvas does drink

Splashes of blue
colours of gold
A rainbow upon paper
the tale of the artist, all told

The picture, the painter
this medium called art
