God save me today
as I defend what’s right
protect this humble soldier
it’s for freedom, that I fight
protecting peace
and all that’s just
death may be around the corner
but in god I do trust
there’s nothing to fear
but fear itself
so keep me safe
grant me good health
I fear not death
nor pain
shelter me father
from this treacherous rain
blood has been spilt
thank you father, for it’s not mine
forgive me lord for all my sins
my enemy has fallen but I’m just fine
it’s a cruel thing
this war that rages on
many lives are at stake
and still no one has won
but I stand my ground
like a good soldier does
and at the end of this soldiers prayer
all I ask is to safely return to the ones I love.

I Thought of You Today,
And What We Could've Had
For A Brief Moment I Had You
And Still, I Somehow Knew
I'd Have To Let Go

And prayed by soldiers on both sides.
Good job.
