standing on a shadow's lace

Quietly

day breaks
and night
that has become
my companion
leaves me
alone
to face the light
I share my secrets
with the darkness
my heart opens there
unafraid and unfolds
to expose all
I truly feel
it does not judge
nor does it
betray me
light makes
my skin
wrap tight
to protect
the inside
soft bubbling
underneath passion
that waits
quietly

just some words cut from
the diary of my heart

Seldom has this thought been put forward any better!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
