Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

Volume 49

He is in Volume 49
tucked away between 48 and 50
Books lined neatly in her closet.
Organization was her art
memories bound and framed
Pictures, tickets ... perhaps a note
framing the story of her life
Left behind but not forgotten
... she will never be forgotten ...
and a tear fills my heart
for a woman I never knew
but who loved him enough
to make him Volume 49.
Her love remains
in the voices, in the smiles
in the pain filled laughter
of those who remain behind
in her books.
