Weaving Amour

01 August 2006

A tapestry of love
this salvation in a thread of amour
This kaleidoscope upon the moon
for love was more than faith
it was hope and charity to adore

Whether in Ontario, Ohio
or any other place across a planet made
Searching for an angel
looking out for her heart

That music of Mozart or bluegrass in sound
God made the world, he made that turn around
From Halifax to Illinois, or New Brunswick
to a land of treasured love, a Canaan toward giving

British and not of England, Columbia
but not as in that peninsular down south
This Carolina, and all it has to give
a land of wonder, a land of hope
those colours in silver threads

Where in heaven was Rachel
a name of solemn promise
Seven years, seven days
another cotton added to a thread

Cotton is a soft fibre that grows around the seeds of the cotton plant (Gossypium spp.),
a shrub native to the tropical and subtropical regions of both the Old World and the New
World. The fibre is most often spun into thread and used to make a soft, breathable textile,
which is the most widely used natural-fibre cloth in clothing today. The English name
descends from the Arabic word al qutun, (whence also came the Spanish word algodón)
meaning cotton fibre.

brother stone likes people who are honest when they write. you are that, i can see by reading only one of yours, and i'm going to read more.

i don't think there are very many of us, because i posted an honest poem three days ago and it got zero answers.

or maybe it was an honestly bad poem, but this one is honestly good.
