it's the darkest light one could ever seen,
one of the longest nights
one ever dreamed

you felt as though you would never belong
lost, alone ... maybe,
if you could be strong

finding yourself, your heart
or so you thought,
a gentle man you would have never sought

he took us under wing,
his son, and I,
maybe there was something
for us to try

still, this lonely night
drew our every breath,
left us cold to relive
his wishful death

if it was only a horrible dream
pray someday, we may hear
his silent scream,
and release him
from between night and day
where each scream echoes,
lost along their way

this hits the heart in so many ways.... good to see ya here and posting....

ME~

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them
we can love completely
without complete understanding
