charcoal man steps out
to the early dusk
soft leather feet
shined
Panama a’tilt
sharp crease in legs

sun
pink egg yolk
stuck to the sky
lights way to
esplanade bench

he waggles cigar
in wry mouth
eyes searching lust
fingers drumming
envie
loud

giggles draw near
swing purple and red skirts

charcoal man keeps his
fire banked low
chuckles
demon laugh
skirts flame around him

so comely
he murmurs
new stepins

sun
a red slit
lying on the horizon
waiting
to slam shut

charcoal man
takes himself home
he knows
his lady
will pass him
pair of eyes

Thank you Stranger.

Sunshine, thank you for
taking this ride with me.
I have enjoyed having
you along. I think it’s
time to wrap it up. Yes?

I’m glad you like it
passing shadows.
Hang on.

Nope.  Once the charcoal is in your blood...
there's no way to dissolve the heat it brings.

Let it simmer...

he'll come back to your dreams....

and you'll write of him.

I know.  Just check out my Konrad series sometime...which ultimately stemmed from another great poet here at PiP...who wrote of Iambe....

You've given birth to a new poet character...
long may he reign.

Oh I do hope he will return!
Love it!
Hugs~Nancy

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.
