Lonely

One spoon, one knife, one fork I lay
My wife is still a drive away
As melancholy plays the mood
And quietly I eat my food

My eyes still look each place she were
Just like it was when I and her
And when I up each morn’s jade
I look upon the place she laid

Her presence stays within the house
And stalks my mind just like a mouse
It plays my thoughts like she were here
I’d even say good morning dear

But I am off to see her now
To kiss her cheeks, her lips, her brow
And play her hair with stroke and comb
And tell her soon she will come home

Once we’re back, together once more
I’ll be once more, her loving bore

Isabel is a lucky lady to be blessed with a "bore" such as you!

Sending healing hugs to each of you and may you soon be reunited.

Sy, how tangible and heartfelt your words, and you missing the lady of your life.  I hope she recovers very quickly.  How fortunate you both are!  Love and smiles to you both!

Sir, your words echo in my lonely apartment, as my love is gone for a week or more moving a boat to Maimi.  Now I see a storm may delay his coming home longer.
Hope your love comes home soon.
