she hasn’t looked back since the moist day she packed her little princess shoes away followed charcoal man barefoot down dusty river road by day she prays to the virgin and the little rose saint late of night lightning winks storm spins her true worship rings the air she slips gris gris under his tongue tangles pink shell toes in bed clothes pulls |
