a slivered moon sits
'neath hot pink clouds
in a deepening blue sky
aiming for cobalt,
and night is nigh

the day's heat dissipates,
even as the heart anticipates
heat from passionate night moves,
the body grooves,
tuning itself up
for a symphony
of sighs

but then I slip
through the back door
of reality,
alone

as the slivered moon suddenly slides
itself past cobalt
into ebony

Yes, I saw just that
last night...

so nice to see it again
this morning...

those fingernail moons
like a razor slit in velvet
an eye of god perhaps behind
watching or perhaps
looking the other way

enjoyed your art

Beautiful read as is the images it gives me.
Hope you don't mind if I print this one.
