pole posted
in arid arizona
red clay surrounds you
as viewers watch
not to arrouse
trespass
anxious tales
of passengers who pass on
after wrong road passes
teddy bears left behind
to get to Pacific coasts....

enter a radiated tale
experimented
proven birth defects
in arid places
science observed
ladies bear deformed
in cramps
now nobody informs
of fallout victim
tramps
and other lovely effects

nasty reminders
survivors among us
cramped in shanties
morphed into horrible tales
skin becomes lizard scales
notices posted
somebody missed
between the craters
radiated, alone
red clay hills watched
the missile fell
exit on the way
to a holiday
after a radiated day!

Decades ago there was an old B&W movie,
I remember is spoke to radiation
and other fears...

I never knew the name of the movie,
but I have never forgotten the fear...

this brought it back again.

Well done, Martin
