I am spinning

a r  O U  n d

drawing a circle in the sky.
Drawing a white line around myself.

Sticky fingers!

Daisy chains and
purple flowers
in black silken hair.
She smells of
rose petals
and honeysuckle

sweet soft strings of music
from her flower floating garden

"Ring a ring a rosy
a pocket full of posy!"

Wearing her grandmothers grandest jewellry
toasting with her mothers
finest crystal
and proudly boasting
lipstick, smeared across her chin.

Her eyes are creased
at the edges
a mouthless smile

But

I can't see the white line anymore

Water welling up like crystalline tears
racing down a soot-stained cheek
fingernails
cracked
bleeding
Eyes that once laughed
without a smile
Now cry without tears

Still, she toasts to crystal
raising the glass pipe to her lips
Ice Ice Ice

In her lungs and
of her heart.

Hood hides
the beautiful hair once
decorated in sweet petals
Face bared for all to see
Broken
Cracked in half
right down the middle.
Only no one does.
And she hides
singing to herself

"A tissue! a tissue!
We all fall down Dead"

I wish I wish I wish
I could send warm buttery scones and toasted marshmallows of love.
Cause I would.
To lovely people.

What a haunting write...
and how well displayed...
I would ask for the inspiration
behind it,
but I fear it would be too private...

Thank you...
for the read.

Ceinwyn, divine chaos and Sunshine ~
I reckon you all just about get the marshmallows too.
Sunshine ~  I wrote it partly about my past and partly about a friend. And that awful feeling you get when you realise you can never go back to relive it, kind of like expecting another step on the stairs and being surprised by the sudden halt.
or you know, finding out a friends on meth. eeeeither way. gosh I am silly tonight.
hugs to you all, and those scones too. xx

Van Gogh set to words.....the madness modern, the colors old as human kind.

I wrote a tiny poem a few days ago, about poets who write the same poem over and over.... you may hereby shout "Not It!"
