Blindness

I have walked on golden sands
Where palms sway to a gentle ocean breeze
I have seen the beauty of the Taj Mahal
Its marble built of a thousand dowries

I have dined with a king
And slept within his walls
Held diamonds in my hand
Watching them cascade like snowfalls

I have hunted for gold
Amongst sun kissed ruins
Deep within the rainforest
Hypnotized by the dew as it glistens

The Rockies captivated me
With there snow topped grandeur
And the outback crept into my heart
Outspoken and bold but acting demur

Till one day you reached out your hand
And I took it in mine
Now do I know, my eyes were blind
To what a true friend can design

Hey
I hove this poem. The wording is very excelent (unlike this sentence) any way the scenery is very descriptive and truly puts me in those places.
Good stuff.

And I saw the beauty you shared.

Thank you.

You touch a chord of sweet recall~

This is just so very pretty~

Thanks for your replys. I guess I wrote this for someone who is very dear to me. And I wanted her to know, the beauty in the world I have seen is not a glimmer on what she means to me.
Anyways.
Thanks I really do appreciate all your words

Ohhh so beautiful, Wilga
but not as beautiful as
that one truefriend.

Well done!
