by the old fountain

my coin fell
              short
       I searched
   among
         the flowers
and weeds

  until the
darkness came

I been looking for a long time, Ed ...
I think by now my quarter has changed to Two Cents!

Enjoyed the wisdom in this ... thanks!

RatMan~
I smile in admiring recognition of the talent you possess~

It is so good to see you ...
I'd throw a coin or two into your well-of-wishing
knowing that you'd do your darndest to make my wish come true~

Ed....Sad....It may be that someone will pick it up one day that really needs it.  That is my wish.

I'll have to admit, that is the most likely outcome.

I was wondering, what would be the result if you tossed your coin and missed the whole fountain? Would you be risking the chance that your wish would come anti-true?

lol
Ed, mine misses the fountain
more often than it hits
and someone always
picks it up,
hopefully
puts it to good use
though more often than not
it may go for a candy bar or soda
rather than to a truly hungry mouth

Even as the futility and loss of this pull at my heart... I feel a smile lurking because my aim is so lousy I have to just close my eyes and hope the coin hits the fountain... looking only lets me know I missed. *G*

For the known misses... I always harbor hopes that someone found the coin... and perhaps made a wish less selfish than mine would have been. *S*

The only reoccurring "lack" in my life is the fact that I always seem a little "short".
Wishing fountains have never been a disappointment.   ::smiles::
regardless...
Great write !
