(This is a lyrical poem that is NOT political, re-posted in thoughts of the Middle East situation, where innocent civilians are being killed on both sides.

This basically sums up that, in the end, being "pro-coexist" is the only label that really matters, and if we can learn to live and co-exist together peacefully, we can see a world of far greater promise and health for our children, but in choosing to continue otherwise, this world will "never be any more than what we make it!", for we are the caretakers and those who determine if we will decide to live side-by-side or die side-by-side. I believe Israel, Lebanon, Palestine and every community can co-exist peacefully, and must.

Si pacem, para pacem! )

It’ll Never Be Any More Than What We Make It

My head’s in the clouds,

but I heard all that you said,

like a nervous skipped heartbeat,

monitored in reverse,

you hurried to cradle your head in your hands...
.
.
.
...this morning your eyes were the bluest,

since last September,

blue like hydrangea blossoms in June,

wondering why,

will they ever know...
.
.
.
What if someone claimed God was seen,

standing in the middle of the sidewalk,

tomorrow,

looking as human as we are,

silent in shock,

perhaps then we’ll all stop and reflect.
.
.
.
And leaping ahead,
seems just what’s wrong with the world,
don’t lose the sense of wonder within,
it’ll never be any more than what we make it,
imagine...
.
.
.
Everything’s different,

I know you’ve done all that you could,

but we’re wasting so much horizon,

we keep coaxing the hoax,

and history is in the blind zone.
.
.
.
Here’s the hitch,

I for one am worn out from this game,

this Pandora’s merry-go-round,

leaves shouldn’t fall from the limb,

on any summer day.
.
.
.
“The man who stands firm,

in the end will be saved”,

“if a man takes you to law and would have your tunic,

let him have your cloak as well,

and if anyone orders you to go one mile,

go two miles with him."
.
.
.
And there’s not a moment to lose,
in this odyssey,
don’t lose the sense of wonder within,
it’ll never be any more than what we make it,
imagine...
.
.
.
Fighting fire with fire,

between the heat there’s a looking glass,

if you look closely enough, you may understand,

the friction of reprimand...
.
.
.
I’m worried they’re just too afraid to imagine,
ohhhhhhh...
.
.
.
Breathe softly now,
the next opportunity has arrived now,
comes gracing your face like a shaft of light,
you can see it,
where did it come from,
that’s often just the problem,
you've got to feel it...
.
.
.
Fighting fire with fire,

between the heat there’s a looking glass...
.
.
.
...and there’s not a moment to lose,
reflecting here,
ohhhhhhhh...
.
.
.
Breathe softly now,
we’re all in this together now,
hearing all these fables about gatekeepers,
when all we really need are doorkeepers,
do they find it hard to explain the difference,
can we imagine...
can we imagine...
.
.
.
Imagine, dear baby,
imagine...
.
.
.
Don’t lose the sense of wonder within,
it’ll never be any more than what we make it...
.
.
.
Imagine, dear baby,
imagine...
.
.
.
Imagine, dear baby,
imagine...
.
.
.
Imagine, dear baby,
imagine...
.
.
.
.

Thank you dear Noah, this is very powerful!

Imagining peace ... co-existance in the awareness of being children of the same God.

Love and Peace.

A message of hope and faith...very beautiful, I enjoyed it very much.
Because in the end - faith is all that really matters, and it will prevail.

It will never be more....but oh it can become so much less, if we allow it.

None of which adds to or subtracts from the fact that you, sir, are one masterful poet.
