(y'know, I could swear I posted this before...didn't come up in my search though. Ah, whatever...)

Blind Alley

It was a blue crystal heart
she wore around her elegant neck
just like blue rain in her eyes
just another love's shipwreck
I'm diving into the dark waters to find
the ocean swells and robs me blind
of all my senses
crashing through outer defenses

It was a blue and silver moon
and I was hung out to dry
now I've got nothing but time
to think about you and I

Through blind alleys I chased her down
she left footsteps that hypnotized me
just like a deer in the headlights
and it's a crazy world for guys like me
living like a sunflower, open for the sunrays
and I don't wanna wilt without your say
say you need me now
break through to me and heal me somehow

It's not like you to be uncaring
after all the things we went through
now I've got to make up your mind
so stop all the messed up things you do
baby

Tough blind alleys I'm running like stray dog
to find my lost kitten who mystifies me
I feel like a sunken treasure not yet discovered
a gold ring for her, a sword of broken lies for me
this is the way it'll always be, I'm quite sure
so I don't wanna wait or ever stop loving her
she's too precious
even when she's so cold and dangerous

And whoa, oh don't lose yourself
this is just a test for your mental health
blind alleys, crooked allies, down the bend
tell me, just what will I be feeling then?

Emotions like oceans, drowning my frowning
seriously ill the double bill that I play and I sing
stop all forms of love on one thin dime
now I've got nothing but time
to think about anything but you and I

A very captivating read!

Worth to be seen again, even if you had posted it in the past.

To me it sounds new and it sounds good!

Love,
Margherita

Well, this one is new to these eyes,
and I generally read whatever you post.
I enjoy your portraits and the settings.

"living like a sunflower, open for the sunrays

Great lines that I can feel. Thank you for sharing, I appreciated this one.
