"Neigh-lo Neighbor"
~*Marge Tindal*~

In the neighbor's meadow
on a warm summer day
the new pony came prancing
wanting to play~

Preening so pertly
alertly he sashayed
closer to the fence
so he could say
"Neigh-lo neighbor"
in his own friendly way~

~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~

sorry i missed
the pony
but i saw the bunny this morning
and fed the gaggle of geese
and the wayward strays
that meowed upon my backporch

thanks for the smiles

Neigh-lo, Marge.  Your poetry is so fresh that it makes me smile.  I loved this one.

this is precious Marge

at 5 this morning when driving home from work, I saw a horse in the middle of the road...it actually stunned me. I circled the back area on the back road behind my house where there is a field of goats and sheep...and sure enough, the old man was standing out front, calling for the horse.

He's beautiful but that barbed wire makes me shudder.  Horses are fragile.  Love, Joyce

Beautiful Marge.
Saw horses just like this on my way home from the bay today.

He looks like a friendly neighbor! I wouldn't mind him coming over to say hello to me (and I'm not a horse person).

Oh Marge, I just love this. You know, I love horses. Thank you for sharing it. What a beautiful horse.

Owl would flip over this... nicely done.   Ed

I'm not smart, I'm just a tricky dumb person.

He's a beaut ... thank you all for admiring him too~

He came to my neighbors via the death of a friend of theirs who had gotten him from The Adopt a Wild Horse Program~

It is so interesting watching them break him ... he is a gorgeous horse, for sure~
