Unforgiving lakes
Unforgiving bogs
Unfogiving mountains
Unforgiving fog
Unforgiving inlets
Unforgiving hills
Unforgiving tundra
Unforgiving chills
Unforgiving snow
Unforgiving land
Running out of luck
with an unforgiving hand

aziza

The harder I worked the luckier I got
When I nurtured my crops the roots didn't rot
I wore warmer clothing when days there was snow
The chills they all left when my fire did glow
My tears from the inlet they watered each hill
The fog on the mountains I'm loving now  still
I found the lake calm and there I did sail
With all of my fortunes, one never could fail

Enjoyed the read and interaction Aziza. May the hand of misfortune turn and then guide you to your happiness.

Sincerely
Rick

This is a sad one.  It is actually written about a friend of mine who died this spring.  He was out in a remote site and drowned when his bulldozer went through some ice on a pond.  It's a sad story, but I had to write when I found out.

Sorry to hear about your friend aziza, noone knows what tomorrow brings, but may I say, thank God for that. We must enjoy our friends while they are around us and reflect on their memories when they are gone. I have also lost friends and then I find friends anew.

Have a nice day or night my friend and may you stay well.

aziza,

Smiles. Well, I certainly think that you got the title right.

Though simply written, your poem has so much more in depth meaning when accompanied by your brief description that followed later on.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend who died in such a tragic way.

God bless.

-Bob
