Spring Sheaths of silver bark shining in the sun Winter's ice melting and chilled rivers run Song birds returning to fields of green Singing stories of where they've been The rich scent of mud hangs in the air Deepest blue paints skies now clear Days grow longer and are filled with heat Spring has arrived here in this land once bleak Sprouts pushing up from the once frozen ground Flowers and berries will soon abound This home is rich with life and spacious lands But is left in the tenuous care of human hands ... aziza ... |
