Pawns In men's quest for dominance We slowly move forward Down Life's playing field. Only able to move to limited spaces The will to survive Weighs heavily on us We dodge Life's Bishops and Knights Wanting to reach the other end To become something bigger and better With help from our friends Those we protected At the beginning of the battle will now Run to our aid in times of need As we reach the end Life makes it's final move We laugh at the obstacle set in front of us... Check mate. |
