Where have the years gone?
They say don't blink your eyes

How could it be..
wasn't it just yesterday
that I gave birth
to an incredible daughter
Your..Mother    My..'Bella'.

Her growing up years..
ballet classes  the laughter  the tears
seems like yesterday..

And here you are
Oh, but I see her reflected
there   in the two of you..
such times I have to catch myself,
a certain look, a tilt of the head,
      the eyes..the smiles..the giggles.

          I remember...

wasn't it just yesterday?

Your Mom and Dad are doing a fine job
Raising two lovely young ladies.
And each of you celebrating birthdays!
Fourteen and Seventeen..
And this Grandma is SO proud!

I remember the nights each of you were born,

seems like...
            yesterday.

Would someone please
make time stand still
that I may savour a little longer
     these precious days..

~Birthday wishes to my beautiful granddaughters Megan & Nicole~

Oh Nancy... it WAS only yesterday!

Would that we could make time stand
still. They grow so fast and Megan
and Nicole are such visions.

Oh yes. I like the poem too.

The sense of "where has time gone", when we look at our children and grandchildren, is one that descends on all of us.  You've captured it for all of us.  Hugs, Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Happy Birthday Ladies

hugsss pretty lady

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them
we can love completely
without complete understanding

~Thank you very much for your warm replies, Nancy~

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.
