Wishcraft

It's makeover time as I stand still...
frozen at times
overwhelmed by risks.

Love can change a person,
just as being unloved can.

Sustained by these paths
of twists and turns
and the unexpected
it's now my time
to take a step forward.

I am no coward
though fears rise
trying to suppress
and threaten the real me
forcing me to ask
for a quiet center within
to seek peace and realize
the struggle is what life is all about.

To be able
to take away the scared
by wishing upon a star
and have those dreams come true
without altering the color of my mind

This reminds me of two people across the globe, who send their wishes to the moon each night. Because although unable to see one another in a physical way. They do have the moon, and that kind of stargazing for both of her and I does have a strong meaning.
