So Be It

She saddles me like a willing horse
And digs her spurs into my sides
She screams commands till she is hoarse
I groan each time she mounts and rides

There was a time when love was new
I felt we were the same of course
But time went by and then I knew
That she the rider, I the horse

Today we go along our way
Until death or at least divorce
The Grand Dame proudly on display
Aboard her tired beaten horse

She cannot change her ways I know
She etched the pattern of her die
I knew this quite a while ago
Yet still I love this meadows lie

We love and share all interchange
Yet still I think her math is strange

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed

ah, equasions of the heart. They never stop amazing me. But at least, with everything changing, the loss of learning is not apparent. Nice write.

hehe I love this so much

my best friend of many
years, showed up at my
door out of the blue
after several years
separation, and in all
the cockiness that is
a Marine, some of his first
words to me were:
"for economy's sake
how 'bout you
save a jeep and
ride a soldier?"

and he's been alternating between
kicking himself for asking
and
loving the ride
ever since

Seymour my friend, words of truth that so many will know, writing of truth brings out the real person and I am sure the freedom that you now feel, it is sad often how life does go, we all ask so many questions, seeking the answer often, but still missing something that we can not quite put our hand on. I think it is purely happiness, but this is something harder to find than gold, keep smiling my friend and sharing with her friends here, because that is where we wait. Take care my friend, smile at life and laugh when things get tough.

Sincerely
Rick
