The time has finally come at last
To move beyond Forsaken past
To break the ties that bind me there
Forget the dreams that we once shared...

I can't believe how time has past
The years are flowing far to fast
I'm not the child I used to be
There's nothing left to set me free

I can't decide if life is worth
The prices I have payed
I've done so much I cannot say
To find the path I'm on today

The light has faded from my eyes
In darkness I'm consumed
You turned and walked away, as you should have done
The hope that love provided, now forever gone

Forget what I once was
Forget all that I could be
Forget all that's in the past
Just... just forget me.

One in a sea of millions has the power to change the world...

Glad to see you back writing with us.
Felt the sadness in this piece...a work in progress takes time.

Hi there...nice to see you in the blue pages again.  Your writing alwayz reminds me of someone I know.  I think that's why I like your poetry so much.
