dancing 'neath the moon

0 posted 2006-07-09 02:34 PM

Soft as a whisper
It slips away
Unexpected
Unwanted
Followed by thundering silence
All consuming, overwhelming

(breathe in
... breathe out)

Seeking comfort
in the gently rhythmic
rise and fall of the chest
searching for answers
in the cracks in the ceiling
Haunted by what might have been.

(inhale,
...exhale)

To the taunting silence
whispered goodbyes are my reply
As tears wash clean my soul
of sadness and regret
nestled safely in the
comforting arms of darkness
releasing fears of inferiority
and insignificance
to retreat once again
to comfortable solitude

(just .. breathe)

The artist is nothing without the gift,
but the gift is nothing without work."
- Emile Zola (1840-1902)

themute -- isn't that more of a timing and counting out of paranoia than just listening to the breaths?  or was that just me? *grins* thanks for reading

Great Write.  I have felt that same way.  I see atleast you are breathing right.  Cheer up, you will feel better soon.
