I have known you for only few breaths
But that time intoxicated me with bliss

You’ve left me wanting
I dream of our first kiss

We parted in the dark
Now something is amiss

You went without a word
I long for your return

But my patience is running thin
And I am filled with desire that for you alone burns

This is a keeper for me.  I have felt this was so much when I was young.  Thank you for bringing back memories.  Standing ovation.

Especially liked the purity of verse here...simple, clear.  The poem's layout sculpts a picture of innocense.
Nicely done.
